Jobsite-mixed render normally consists of sand and cement. Without skimming, sand that is the main component in will be visible on finishing surface.
HAIRLINE CRACKS
Small cracks that are not more than 0.1 mm wide are mostly found on both internal and external walls and columns in damp areas or hot and very dry areas. What causes hairline cracks? 1. Drying shrinkage. 2. Disproportion mixture o Very hot and dry atmosphere Hairline cracks do, anyway, not affect buildings' structure, but only the beauty of overall image.
BUBBLES AND SMALL GROOVES
Air is basically unavoidable when pouring concrete into mold, which later creates bubbles and small grooves.
Flake-off paint
The causes could be;
1. Paint over onto non-curing rendered walls with high moisture content inside.
2. Using inappropriate primer before painting o Unqualified painting quality.
3. Dirty substrates.
